Beer and Pretzels Ironclads

Here’s a short write-up on a game of Beer and Pretzels Ironclads we recently played.

Beer and Pretzels Ironclads is a fast, furious, and simple set of rules for American Civil War naval combat. If you have never played, I highly recommend it. The models are Thoroughbred Models 1:600 scale from my friend’s collection with some random schooners thrown in to capture. I bought the mat from Terrain Mat and highly recommend it.

This was a battle between the CSS Arkansas, CSS Louisiana, CSS Tennessee, and CSS Texas on the Confederate side, and on the Yankee side the USS Cairo, USS Cincinnati, USS Tecumseh, and USS Onondoga. On the first match, the Yankees won, and on the second match the Confederates won.
